What We're Building

Affinity is a data-driven fashion recommendation service. We believe that online shopping is broken, and there is a huge market opportunity to create a Pandora-like shopping service that learns people's style and introduces them to clothing they'll love.

Using the best that computers (machine learning, data science) and expert humans (stylists, tastemakers) have to offer, we have built technology that understands complex fashion preferences and a beta product (a weekly clothing recommendation email) that delivers better clothing recommendations than a human personal stylist.

We are now in the process of building out our technology, product and team – and on the hunt for a few key hires to help us deliver upon our grand vision!

What We're Looking For 

We are looking for a technical leader to build our tech team from the ground up, lead the day-to-day technology development, and help us create the most successful (data-driven!) clothing recommendation system on the market.

We believe that the secret to building great technology is great ideas – ideas that come from deep analysis and critical thinking. Accordingly, we are first-and-foremost looking for a technical leader with a curious, analytical mind and a passion for solving problems.

As we are a small, nimble startup, the ideal candidate is not just capable of building and running a team, but someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do what needs to be done, even if that means learning new things.

Given our existing product/technology, familiarity with the following is a plus:

• Python/Django, SQL/PostgreSQL, Javascript 
• Pandas and Numpy 
• Machine learning and data science
