Job description
Shopvolution is looking for passionate backend developers for our London office to help build the next generation social e-Commerce application. We work with PHP Zend Framework, MongoDB, and MySQL - experience with these technologies would be fantastic but we equally value the ability to learn on the job. Experience in the tools enabling you to build Internet scale projects is also a big plus. Beyond scalability, you'll be asked to work on machine learning challenges, our internal search engine (Sphinx), and graph database solutions to draw together various pieces of data throughout our system.
Whatever your technical background, we expect you to have demonstrated expertise in MVC frameworks and data driven applications and your ability to learn new languages and technologies should be a given.
Your activity within the software development community is important to us - blogging, tweeting, participation in open source projects, or involvement in online communities will be regarded as a good indication of your passion toward technology.
