ITJewelers is a marketplace for jewelry. We are currently located in the heart of the jewelry district in downtown Los Angeles inside the International Jewelry Center. We focus on building an online marketplace with a physical presence where people can buy and sell jewelry.
ITJewelers has an opportunity for you to work with an evolving ecommerce company to create and help design an online marketplace. We are entering a stage where the website has a strong foundation, but requires a developer to implement the unique ideas we have in mind to successfully evolve the website.
The developer will work closely with ITJewelers’ team to bring mock-ups to life and create or discuss any website ideas. This project will give you a chance to exhibit your skills in developing. It will also give the developer first-hand experience in operating an online business and in the jewelry industry.
This is a paid internship position to start with the high possibility of hire.
Skills & requirements
Skill Set Preferred:
- Develop new user-facing features
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Provide website maintenance and enhancements
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
- Proficient knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Willingness to work hard, performing duties outside the job scope and possibly after work hours
Candidate with following skills have an advantage:
- Major plus to have capabilities in graphic design utilizing all Creative Suite Products (specifically Photoshop & Illustrator)
