Chief Implementation Architect NEEDED NOW !!!

Job Summary:
The Chief Implementation Architect is responsible for the end to end system design, performance and standards on the largest of MetLife's largest transformational programs focused on consolidating all group insurance policy administration systems and developing a new platform to bring to market in concert with Oracle Systems.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Provides technical leadership for the Build teams.
- Accountable for overall Group Administration Solution implementation.
- Defining application boundaries.
- Functional and technical design.
- Establishing technical standards.
- Overall system performance and scalability.
- Adherence to established standards and strategies.
- Creates the High-Level Conceptual Design.
- Provides day-to-day leadership for Application Technical Leads.
- All technical leads on the program have a dotted line relationship to the Chief Implementation Architect.
- Leads Group Administration Architecture Implementation Review Board.
- Responsible for detailed technical discussions and reviews with external partners and senior management.
- Support development of a technology strategy and multi-year system roadmaps for the US Business Insurance Product organization with a focus on the Group Administration Platform.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large, multi-platform insurance solutions.
- Broad, deep understanding of multiple industry distributed technologies and reference architectures.
- Experience with massively scalable real-time system architectures and designs.
- Requires large scale management of a multi year architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a Lead Developer/Architect role within a large corporate environment focused on delivery of applications.
- Minimum of 5 years of design experience for cross-platform applications.
- Demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical parties.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and develop business requirements and design solutions that meet or exceed those requirements.
- Demonstrated inter-personal and consultative proficiency.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication proficiency.
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience at understanding, analyzing, applying, and communicating abstract architectural concepts.
- Experience with massively scalable real-time ERP and non-ERP architecture and designs.
- Minimum of 10 years of related architecture or technology design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience, with advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one architecture discipline, and experience in at least one other.
- Experience in Group Insurance Administration.
- Experience and/or trained in one or more formal architecture frameworks such as FEAF, TOGAF, or Zachman.
