CityMaps (http://www.citymaps.com) is a rapidly growing Manhattan start-up. Exciting things
are happening here and they're happening quickly. We were recently featured by New
York Magazine, are working on some very cool innovations, and have established some
very high profile partnerships.
We are looking for candidates with experience in developing against an enterprise-
level mapping system. Candidates should have experience working in a professional
software development environment, familiarity with version control systems and remote
deployment, comfortable working in a small and intense group environment.
Skills & requirements
• At least 3 years professional experience in web development
• Strong skills and experience the following:
o PHP
o SQL Databases and Queries
o MVC Web Application Frameworks
o Advanced HTML/CSS
o Javascript (JQuery), and AJAX
• Strong Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming
• GIS Development Experience
Bonus Points For Experience With:
• Experience with Leaflet or OpenLayers Tile Viewers
• Symfony Framework
• Doctrine ORM or experience with any other ORM
• PostgreSQL
• Working with a programming team
• Producing mobile applications or mobile websites
• Any of the following programming languages
o C/C++
o Java
o Python
o Bash or Perl
