Job description
- Leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of range large-scale of educational products on Tablets (Android, iOS and Windows).
- Manage mobile, tablet, and web application development projects through the full project lifecycle using the waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Be a strong team player who collaborates to build, and adhere to, a delivery schedule
- Be seen as the go-to by project and leadership team for all strategies related to project direction and execution
- Think strategically and create solutions to complex problems
- Create, maintain, and own project assets: issues documentation, status reports, meeting minutes, project plans, requirements documentation, and change requests
Skills & requirements
- Candidate should have experience managing mobile or tablet application development projects.
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience, including application development for Android and iOS devices.
- Experience with writing code in Objective C, C, C++, C#, Java, HTML5, JavaScript and Java for mobile platforms.
- Experience in design and development of native applications running on mobile platforms.
- Experience with mobile software development kit (SDK)
- Knowledge on Tablet OS Platform internals a must
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Project Management experience with a strong focus in the management of applications development and delivery
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and adhering to agreed scopes and budgets
- Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
- Good presentation skills and have the ability to lead status meetings at both the executive and team level
