Job Summary: 

SureGrip Footwear, a company of Genesco, Inc., is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded, full-time developer to support business initiatives within our fast growing company. If you are a web developer with broad experience related to e-commerce platforms (in particular Magento), and a desire to contribute, then you may be a good fit with our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help guide build-out of multiple websites on Magento web platform, working closely with a team of outsourced contractors.
• Work with the SureGrip team to configure Web Platform & Order Management System (OMS) integration.
• Maintain new websites and make enhancements to meet customer needs while adhering to Magento best practices.
• Create custom modules and other new functionality using PHP and Magento / OMS APIs.
• Configure and maintain Linux-based web servers optimized for Magento.
• Advise team on Magento customization possibilities for present and future business requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information services, or a related field
• 3 – 5 years relevant experience, e-commerce experience configuring Magento stores is preferred
• PHP, MySQL, CSS 3, AJAX, HTML 5
• Web Services (SOAP XML-RPC, WSDL) and integrating with other systems via API’s
• MVC (Model-View-Controller) framework development experience
• Javascript libraries such as jQuery
• Preferred knowledge and experience in: Zend Framework, SEO, Google Analytics, and IBM Sterling OMS Experience
• Working knowledge of PCI-DSS & Info security best practices
• Working closely with designers and quickly adopt design concepts
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with SVN version control systems
• Solid communication skills with emphasis on presenting technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Detail-oriented
• Self-motivated, yet comfortable with team environment
