Our team of Software Developers in Newbury consists around 50 developers with a wide variety of skills and specialities. We are currently looking to expand the team and have 4 new positions as a result.

You should have a real passion for software development, but not just by working from a specification as a code-cutter. This role provides the opportunity to be involved in the whole software development lifecycle making positive contributions to the project you’re working on, at all levels.

You must:

• Have an excellent knowledge of Java, specifically Struts framework. Also Spring, Wicket, Javascript, AJAX, SOAP, XML/XSLT, JMS, JDBC and hibernate (see also below)
• Be comfortable creating user interfaces to communicate with databases and SOA implementations
• Have experience of creating and using web services and have a good grasp of XML based technologies
• Have experience of JDBC and hibernate
• Be familiar with database design techniques, eg normalisation
• Have familiarisation with SQL and preferably TSQL
• Have skills in database design, production, querying, support and maintenance.
