We seek a talented, forward-thinking web developer for our in-house marketing team of designers, developers, writers and project managers.
UCF Marketing works with university clients to help them reach their goals. As marketing professionals we work alongside customers to build important, reputation-building materials. Each client has different needs and each assignment therefore is customized.

The selected candidate will possess the ability to be a part of the development process throughout the lifetime of the project including design, development, testing, and maintenance, is a necessity. This includes the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team and possess the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and one year of information technology experience.
Preferences (interview candidates will be selected based on these criteria):
The selected candidate will possess the ability to be a part of the development process throughout the lifetime of the project including design, development, testing, and maintenance is a necessity. - Expert knowledge of HTML / CSS / PHP / JavaScript
- Ability to produce clean and functional code across platforms (cross-browser compatibility
- Extensive experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla
- Advanced Database Management and Administration skills (MySQL, phpMyAdmin, etc.)
- Experience with coding Python and Django web applications
- Experience in version control (GIT)
- Experience in developing responsive websites
- Familiarity with server administration (hosting setup, configuration, and management)
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and work ethic
- Familiarity with W3C standards, web accessibility and 508 compliance
- Develop websites and web applications from scratch utilizing the latest coding standards
- Ability to utilize mockup concepts and transform them into fully functional web applications
- Develop responsive websites on CMS platforms
- Utilize third-party API to connect to client websites
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Mobile App Development
- Experience using Twitter Bootstrap and LESS CSS language
- Experience architecting and developing scalable, enterprise solutions
- Strong understanding of UX / UI design
- Thrive in small teams
- Knowledge of best SEO / SEM practices
- Forward-thinking and open to growth and learning
