Job description

wetter.com is a high traffic weather app and Germany’s largest weather portal. The native Android App has +1,5 mio daily active users.

Vision: Grow and scale wetter.com internationally to become Europe's best weather app.

Work on the MVVM architecture and reinvent the app from ground up with modern solutions (all new features are build in Kotlin, existing Java code base) Quality-driven agile team with dailies: 4 Android Devs, 3 iOS, 3 Backend, 1 PO, UX, Data BI with end2end-ownership.

TECH STACK and required professional experience

  • Kotlin (Java), MVVM Architecture
  • Android Studio + SDK, Hilt (Dagger2), RxJava
  • Bitbucket, CircleCI, Optimizely (A/B tests), JUnit, Mockito, Espresso
  • Firebase (e.g. crashlytics), Retrofit, REST + GraphQL API
  • (Backend: Node.js, API Gateway, fully on AWS)

PROJECTS 2022

  • Global Roll-out + Scale to 4 new countries
  • Weather data: personalized Push-notificat. (individual UX, USP: best weather forecast)
  • Integration: New in-house Ad-Stack + CMP, Widget optimisation
  • Gathering Geodata (segmentation), new tracking features & monitoring

FACTS

  • REMOTE or Berlin Office: Prenzlauer Berg, in „KulturBrauerei“ (U2 Eberswalder Str.)
  • Salary: up to 80.000 Euro
  • 40h/week, Remote work policy (pref. 1 office day/week after Covid19) + flexible working hours
