Right now we’re looking for a talented Standards Architect to join our team.
Brief Summary of the Position:
The Standards Architect is ultimately responsible for the consistency and quality of HTML, CSS and Javascript code across all clients. The architect will work to standardize best practices across the agency including managing our boilerplate, establishing consistent frameworks, libraries, and code standards in order to create robust and stable environments for the production of high quality software.
The architect will provide mentorship for other developers on staff through code reviews, pair programming, thought leadership and career management. The ideal candidate is a great teacher.
On a project basis, the architect will collaborate with teams to contribute to design, to provide oversight and support, and potentially to solve the hardest coding challenges.
Skills & requirements
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of software development experience in standards based front-end technologies
- Expert level experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Deep understanding of techniques to create websites that accommodate a variety of form factors (e.g. responsive design)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, environment with several offices and multiple projects
- Experience with a variety of javascript frameworks
- Software development methodologies (Agile, RUP, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to relate to multiple project stakeholders with varying interests and concerns
- A patient and engaged mentor
- An inquisitive mind
