(Senior) Android Engineer - Discovery Experience, Consumer Discovery (f/m/d)

We are looking for a (Senior) Android Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Consumer Discovery team, supporting our global brands in creating an easy and personalised ordering experience for our customers.

Your mission:

• You will work as part of a feature team, brainstorming on technical and product decisions, helping to shape the discovery experience in several angles (eg, search, vendor listing page, ratings & reviews, cross-selling)

• You will autonomously collaborate with iOS, web, and backend to guarantee a unified and consistent experience across platforms.

• Build features while gathering learnings that will help us to simplify and unify the users experience.

• You will be working and improving a large Android codebase and learning about the best practices to keep it healthy and scalable.

• You will be working on unit and integration tests for the features you develop.

Your heroic skills:

• 2+ years of experience building Android applications.

• You are good at communicating, either by voicing your ideas or being open to others’ ideas.

• Critical thinking about system and software design and how to use them during feature development.

• Skilled with testing and debugging

• Building complex user interfaces and animations

• Experience with Kotlin

• Nice to have experience building medium and large Android applications
