Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) - onsite or remote within the EU

We are currently looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join one of our tech teams at ABOUT YOU onsite in Hamburg or remote within the EU. Our tech teams comprise a wide range of fields, amongst them several frontend, backend and cloud technologies. For our highly dynamic and modern tech teams we are searching for someone with either a broad range of QA disciplines or an expertise in a single field.

What you will do

• Manage and prioritize bug reports or bug tickets from internal and external stakeholders, always keeping their business value in mind
• Contribute to the shaping and constant improvement of ABOUT YOU’s long-term automated testing strategy
• Advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the delivery of quality features
• Lots of space for your own ideas and creations, flat hierarchies and very short decision making process

Who you are

• You have 5 years experience in quality assurance, testing and debugging of frontend applications (JavaScript) or backend in big scale projects
• You are experienced in manual testing (explorative and destructive) as well as automated testing (e.g. with cypress.io, nightwatch,selenium or runscope)
• You are able to get a quick grasp of complex technical systems
• You focus on the details but always keep the business value of software in mind
• You have a passion for quickly shipping innovative features that are simultaneously reliable
• You are experienced with agile methodologies and understand what it means to have a quality mindset in an agile environment
• You possess very good communications skills and the ability to handle different stakeholders
• You speak and write English fluently
