We are looking for an Engineering Manager - Rider Transmission, Logistics (f/m/d)to join our Logistics team to help us create a fast, reliable and transparent delivery experience. You will be helping our riders working across 40+ countries to get a stable and useful application which will make their work easier and connect riders to millions of customers every day. The Rider Transmission tribe in Logistics owns the riders' journey and experience from onboarding, planning their work hours, making deliveries and finally, getting paid for their hard work! We enable this by building tools for operations managers and of course, the rider app itself which drives the whole experience and provides transparency at all times.

Your mission:

• Hire, lead and empower a talented team of engineers, focused on building modern solutions for managing employees around the world.

• Develop and continuously improve stability and scalability of our services.

• Work closely with other teams, communicate solutions with technical and non-technical stakeholders and solve challenges.

• Ensure continued service reliability and 24/7 provide technical support for global services.

• Ensure operation and technical excellence in the team.

• Practice modern software development methodologies such as continuous delivery, TDD, scrum and collaborate with product managers.

• Participate in code reviews and application debugging and diagnosis.

Your heroic skills:

• 2-4 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience.

• Excellent knowledge and hands-on programming experience in developing Backend Application (Java/Kotlin, Golang, Ruby) applications.

• A completed technical degree in Computer Science or any related fields.

• Several years of experience in designing and implementing large scale software systems.

• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud providers and microservices architecture.

• Experience with various AWS services such as RDS, DDB, Lambda, CW, EC2, SQS, SNS.

• Curiosity, creative outside-the-box problem solving abilities and an eye for detail.

• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and talking to stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience with building and leading cross functional teams.

• Tech leadership experience in remote teams.

• Experience managing and developing mobile apps (Android / iOS)

• Experience with release automation process
