Engineering Manager - FinTech - Wallet (f/m/d)

We are looking for an Engineering Manager - FinTech - Wallet (f/m/d) who will lead a high performing team and drive alignment of their technical direction to help us crafting wallet and payment solutions in our FinTech vertical.

This is an opportunity to bring engineering and operational excellence to the table, leading and taking part in our journey to grow #1 Global Leader in innovative delivery services.

You’ll build relationships across the entire organisation in 50+ countries internationally in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, in order to effectively drive nuance and impact on top of a global platform.

Your mission

• Building large scale highly distributed services with high efficiency, resiliency and reliability, and taking part in architectural decision making
• Shape and deliver the technical landscape enabling a high growth organisation at scale

• Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables within autonomous teams

• Understanding development lifecycle and working closely in cross functional and international team

• Key player in ensuring the ongoing alignment of our technology with the overall business strategy for the domain and company

• Active partner in build product towards our goals in order to provide the best value for stakeholders and our customers

• Build effective and clear communication in a fast-growing engineering organisation

Your heroic skills

• Experience in FinTech, Banking, Wallet or Payment industry
• Proven track record of supporting technical teams
• You are both highly technical and an effective people manager
• Architecture abilities and the capacity to design resilient distributed systems that are flexible and scalable
• Facilitate technical discussions and drive your team to the right direction while building scalable and reliable applications

• Work closely with business and product teams, communicate solutions with non-technical stakeholders and solve challenges

• Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, fault-tolerant, agile environment on cross-functional teams

• Hire, develop, onboard and retain diverse talents and set them up for success

• Support the growth of your team members by mentoring and caring about their well-being

What we'd love to see as well

• Experience running & maintaining a (micro-)service environment with decoupled services under high load with large data sets.
• Familiar with cloud provider GCP, AWS or Azure and with DevOps practices
