Senior Python Backend Engineer (Site Reliability Engineering) (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer (f/m/d)to join our Site Reliability Engineering team and work on global strategic initiatives aiming to make all our services observable. SRE department is built on principles described in https://sre.google/ with Observability teams responsible for designing for and implementing telemetry tooling.

You will be responsible for implementing features and services that are instrumental in establishing and expanding our SRE culture by providing tooling that compliantly delivers out-of-the-box observability and incident handling and other reliability practices. Your customers are thousands of software engineers distributed worldwide, from Buenos Aires, to Berlin, Istanbul, Dubai, Singapore, and Seoul. You will work closely together with the Developer Productivity department to integrate your tools and products into the overall developer experience, as well as the Infrastructure teams.

Your heroic skills:

• You are an experienced developer with strong Python skills with a sound understanding of CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures).

• You have at least 5 year experience in building distributed cloud-native microservices used by thousands of users

• You understand how to create an efficient, reliable, scalable, and maintainable software architecture.

• You are familiar with knowledge of UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals

• You write clean, test-driven code and can teach others to do so.

• You are comfortable with SRE practices and are familiar with popular observability tooling (a passion for observability and reliability ideally with experience in distributed tracing)

• You have full professional English proficiency and good communication skills.
