Tools and Web Services Engineer - Game Programmer

Darkside Game Studios is a successful console and PC video game developer just outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are currently working with Microsoft on an exciting title that will be released in the next couple of years and seeking experienced candidates eager to aid in development of this title.  The studio's core development team consists of industry veterans from such notable companies as Activision, Electronic Arts, Midway, Namco, and Shadows in Darkness. We've helped develop some of the biggest franchises in the industry including Borderlands, Gears of War, Bioshock, XCOM, and Civilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of PC & console games (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, PC).
• Learn third party APIs and middleware, and tools and services using them.
• Maintaining code and fixing bugs.
• Expected to follow studio programming standards and quality requirements (comments, code style, etc.).
• Work closely with the development, art, design, production, and QA teams to meet deadlines.
• Integrating changes from other developers (source control).
• Work closely with directors and production to meet their tools needs.

This is an exciting opportunity where the candidate will get to use their knowledge of Microsoft Azure and other Cloud-based service providers. The candidate must be an expert in C# and the MVC framework, have extensive experience with C++, and possess excellent debugging skills. This position involves building frameworks that utilize REST. Some familiarity with the Unreal and Unity engines is required as the position requires this knowledge for most projects.
