Job description
- Architect and build the back end of websites in Ruby on Rails.
- Assist with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript builds.
- Occasionally work within other frameworks and CMS’s such as Wordpress and Drupal.
- Integrate with the marketing process from the beginning, contributing to anything from website wireframes to brand strategy.
Skills & requirements
Required
- 1-3 years of Ruby on Rails development experience
- Strong understanding of relational databases.
- Ability to build out a website from a PSD file.
- Experience with HTML/CSS.
- Works well on a team, with little management oversight.
- Ability to work well under pressure and thrive amid ambiguity.
- Is personable and creative.
- Has experience with Git or other DVCS.
Bonus
- System admin experience.
- Linux experience.
- Website design experience.
