Job description
Provide general Linux/Apache/MySQL Infrastructure Support/Project activities and resolve escalated support tickets for internal clients and third parties, primarily focusing on break fix resolution, System Administration Duties, Server troubleshooting and daily administration tasks on our Line of Business Software. You will be based in one of the two Knutsford offices working in a team of 3 Infrastructure staff – working closely with the Senior specilaist, with additional assistance from 3 support staff and the IT Manager. We offer staggered start times of 8am, 9am and 10am to fit around team cover and other project work, with the corresponding finish times of 4pm,5pm and 6pm.
Support UK Office and Remote staff :-
- Day to day administration/setup/troubleshooting of the following – Minimum, of 5 relevant years exposure to :-
- Linux – Debian/Ubuntu
- Apache – 2+
- MySQL – 5.5+
- Advanced Linux Server administration
- Network fault-finding/diagnosis
- VSphere/VMWare
- Hardware fault/diagnosis within a Vmware and Physical server environment
- Utilise in house call ticketing system
- Preference will be given to those with experience with the following :-
- Jira platform administration
- Microsoft Server

- Excellent time management & prioritisation skills
- Demonstrate effective and prompt issue resolution, with escalation to other team members where appropriate
- Daily administration tasks
- On the job training for other team members
Design, Deployment, Administration and Support experience of
- Linux environments preferable Debian
- MySql
- Apache
- Php configuration (not development)
- 3 Years MySQL as core/secondary roll
- 5 Years Linux as core skillset
