Product Development Assistant / Innovation Assistant (m/f) in Berlin

A recent university graduate, you already have a few small projects under your belt and are now eager to get to work creating the leading mobile apps of tomorrow. You have a technical background and are a competent coder. Reporting to the Mobile Tech Lead, you will be an integral part of a software development team writing native iOS and Android apps. You’ll develop an in-depth knowledge of the technologies that can help us produce top quality products and services for the publishing and conference industries. You will need to know what our customers want before they know they want it. You’ll need to keep a close eye on our end users to make sure they’re getting the best possible user experience. This position is for S&S Media’s Berlin-based daughter company focused on the development of mobile software solutions. We are an international team located in the heart of Berlin and are currently working on the creation of a suite of mobile applications complete with their corresponding back-end services. These will be sold to our business customers as a complete service, allowing our customers to deliver mobile applications to their customers.

For our team we are now looking for a:

Product Development Assistant / Innovation Assistant (m/f)

Your tasks

• Close collaboration with the dev lead and the sales team - to create, influence and implement initiatives that will promote the apps to current and potential customers
• Keep up to date with, analyse and evaluate market trends and developments as well as the competitors activities and recommend a plan of action
• Understand our end users through target group analysis, evaluation of customer feedback, usability reports and other modern usability analysis techniques
• Monitor app store reviews and analytics data from all live apps
• Ensure that all new features meet our customer's requirements by monitoring and helping to prioritise the product backlog
• Ensuring the quality of our offerings by being involved in all aspects of the test and validation process
• Creating product specification documents and conducting product specification reviews with key stakeholders.
• Work closely with sales team to coordinate and assist in mobile app distribution efforts (ASO, keywords and app visibility on search terms)

Requirements

• recent graduation from university (2 years or less) in technical field of study such as computer science, interactive media or similar - this is an entry-level position 
• first experience in industry through relevant internships
• Solid interpersonal and communicative skills (externally and internally at all levels)
• Passion about mobile apps and the latest trends in the industry
• Detailed oriented work style
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities and an ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
• Experience in cross-functional projects
• You have innovative ideas and implement them in goal-oriented manner
• A professional 'get it done' attitude and work ethic
• You have the social skills to integrate yourself into a closely knit team and will work towards the team’s shared goals
• You have excellent English language skills as the teams language is English
