Job description
We are seeking a Sr eCommerce Developer who is a highly-motivated professional with superior business process analytical skills, software application design expertise and excellent communication skills. The Sr. eCommerce Developer will possess a strong desire to expand those skills in a highly collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for a Senior eCommerce Developer to roll up their sleeves and apply their experience and leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The Sr eCommerce Developer will be responsible for the technical design, development, unit testing, and support of LTD’s eCommerce suite of applications and services. In this highly visible role, the Sr eCommerce Developer will partner with development, team members, projects/system managers, business partners, and functional analysts. The Senior Developer will also act as a mentor to other development team members providing technical guidance and support. The Sr eCommerce Developer will architect end-to-end solutions using multiple technologies and business scenarios. The Sr eCommerce Developer requires excellent communications skills in order to explain technical concepts to non-technical associates, to be well organized, and to be capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate the level of effort related to technical design, coding and unit testing
- Architect scalable n-tier transaction intensive solutions
- have a commitment to success and quality and be constantly evolving their skill-set.
- Provide recommendations to management on products and technical solutions
- Translate functional designs into architectural overviews, technical designs, and codes
- Program supportable, maintainable, and efficient solutions
- Develop and execute test plans and test scripts
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose application/system issues
- Collaboratively contribute with functional analysts, business partners, business analysts, project managers and developers to an overall technical solution
- Mentor developers
- Independently write code and resolve defects
- When required, execute analyst tasks: facilitate the development of business requirements, create functional designs, and create prototypes
Requirements
- 5 years of combined development experience with J2EE
- 2+ years experience with ATG eCommerce platform
- Experience in high volume, high transactional, and hosted application environment
- Experience in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and XML/SOAP
- Experience architecting, designing, and developing high performing retail eCommerce business solutions
- Experience with enterprise application integration (EAI) frameworks
- Experience with Oracle is a plus
