Python/Django Software Engineer I

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer I Python 2.7x developer to support and grow our existing applications.  

We are a driven team of engineers dedicated to delivering enterprise grade OpenSource solutions to our internal customers.

Skills

• Django Web Framework or similar frameworks and concepts
• SQL ORM Technologies such as SQLAlchemy (or similar)
• Building and consuming REST APIs (understanding of the Martin Lawrence principal of SOAP is a bonus)
• Unit testing and end-to-end testing via selenium
• Exposure to end-state configuration management, AWS, and VMWare is beneficial.
• Exposure to continuous integration and deployment beneficial.

Qualifications

• BS in Technical Related Field or 2+ years experience in software development role in a corporate environment.
• Typically requires no previous professional experience.
• Basic knowledge on software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Basic knowledge of n-tiered architecture.
• 1+ years experience with a programming or scripting language (c#, Java, JavaScript, SQL).
• 1+ years experience writing/modifying programs for a small to mid-size application.
• 1+ years experience administering and/or configuring an application.
• Basic understanding of DB concepts.
