Help Cure Cancer! Java developer with Spring 4.x experience

Advaita is looking for a hard-working experienced java developer to join our team near Ann Arbor, MI.  This is not an entry-level position.  Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work independently but also as part of a development team.  This is a permanent, full-time position.  Unfortunately, our funding sources do not allow us to offer remote work.  Main responsibilities will include development and integration of novel data analysis methods in existing native and partner applications/databases, data storage and access tasks, user interface improvements, as well as user account management.  This position also requires interfacing with senior management and reporting on key performance metrics, as well as other assignments as management may direct. Visa sponsorship may be available for extremely well-qualified international candidates.

Requirements: Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science (Master’s preferred) or equivalent with at least 3-5 years Java/Java script development experience.  Selected applicants will be required to satisfactorily complete a programming evaluation test.  

Applicants should have experience in the following areas:

·       Java EE
·       JavaScript
·       Spring 4.x
·       REST webservices
·       GIT
·       Apache Maven
·       Various Web Services frameworks 
·       Familiarity with various libraries like jQuery, AngularJS, Backbone, etc.
·       Willingness to dive into new programming or scripting languages as required

Knowledge of bioinformatics, microarrays, bioinformatics tools, R, and similar a strong plus.
