I have two activities: -Term activity : listview -Detail activity : textview

I want to display in my DetailActivity a textView from my database regarding onclickitem on the previous activity, TermActivity.

Actually i can get only the id or "Android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor@45cabae8" so i think my code is wrong.

The problem is on this line: passedView.setText("Definition "+ourCursor);

You must get the value from what column you want to display from cursor

    if(ourCursor.moveToFirst()){
        string value = ourCursor.getString(ourCursor.getColumnIndex("term_name"));
        passedView.setText("Definition " + value);

  • Thank you for your feedback. So I tried your solution but now i have an error on clickitem in my TermActivity (The application has stopped unexpectedly.) I edited my post intregrating your solution (maybe i did something wrong)

  • You call ourCursor=dbSocHelper.getDetailByTerm(passedVar); that query don't return column Grade1. I think you should call getDetailByTerm2
