I'm testing the project: https://github.com/devindoty/iBooks-Flip-Animation and I noticed a growing of memmory allocations when taking the screenshots.

When I profile that application I see that a lot of memory will be allocated in CALayer renderInContext. The cause seems to be the CGContextDrawImage. But how to solve that?

I will paste the necessary code here:

Try running your exact use case using Instruments with the "Memory Leaks" tool. It may well point you to a smoking gun, and they can be hard to track down. Also I'm always recommending bbum's excellent link on heap analysis (which has saved my bacon in the past). http://www.friday.com/bbum/2010/10/17/when-is-a-leak-not-a-leak-using-heapshot-analysis-to-find-undesirable-memory-growth/
