I am having a slight problem been at it for ages

I have currently got my serach and paging working but i dont know what the paging aspects of the code is.

I need the paging only and do not require the search as i allready have it. This is the tutorial i used for both paging and serach but dont know what to extract just for paging:

as you can see both work well and are correct. But i dont know what i need for the paging can any one help me please thanks.

What I Have Tried:

Please be more clear than "does not work". Does it fail to compile? Fail at runtime? Or does it not behave as expected? –  danludwig Apr 9 '12 at 20:34

Does not run? So it builds/compiles, but when you access it in a browser window, you get a yellow error page (Yellow Screen Of Death / YSOD)? If so, this is a runtime failure, and it would help if you posted the exception that was thrown. –  danludwig Apr 9 '12 at 20:45
    
Its common sense if there was an error then i would have posted it because then there would have been a higher chance of sucess, but if you read my question its states clearly "can you help me I need the paging only and do not require the search as i allready have it." if some can see my controller which works maybe they can extract just the paging information for me, that is all i want sorry for being rude –  user1137472 Apr 9 '12 at 21:06
    
"as you can see both work well and are correct" - this is confusing. First you say it works, then you say it doesn't. And you've pasted your entire controller - this is too much to read. Do us a favor and edit it down to just where the problem is. And tell what you've tried. Have you verified that the CounterForPage argument is set when your Index action is called? Have you used the debugger to verify that your paging logic is being executed when it should? Your final edit refers to a completely different controller than your initial question - which one do you need help with? –  Jason Apr 9 '12 at 21:31

I get the following error: The method 'Skip' is only supported for sorted input in LINQ to Entities. The method 'OrderBy' must be called before the method 'Skip'. –  user1137472 Apr 9 '12 at 23:13
