Is it possible to animate the "old school" way, in codebehind, instead of xaml?

I just want an arrow that points to something with a 'bounce effect' which I could easily do in my own for loop. But I do not know how to refresh or do a timer delay, inside the loop. I already placed the image into position in codebehind. All I want to do is this simple animation...

There's no school like the old school ;) Here, this should help you on your way. You can play with the millisecond and Y translation values being passed to the BuildEasing method to change the 'bounce' effect's speed and distance.

Actually, I am wondering if there is a quick way to make the arrowImage disappear? Either a second after the animation, or clear (if exists) prior image right before the animation starts.... –  Dave Apr 12 '12 at 14:30

You bet, all you'd have to do is add a new DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames frame to the storyboard's Children collection targeting the visibility of the image instead of the Y transform. Do you have Expression Blend? What I usually do is create the storyboard in Blend and then use that as a guide when writing it in code. –  KodeKreachor Apr 12 '12 at 15:02
