I am playing with JME3 and currently facing the following problem:

When LWJGL canvases are included in multiple tabs of application, none of them or only 1 runs.

Here is an example:

SwingCanvas.java:

Maybe you need a separate thread for every Canvas? Just a wild thought, though. –  Jakub Zaverka Apr 12 '12 at 19:04

Found a convenient solution on the jmonkeyengine documentation: Monkey canvas + Swing GUI

here is the code quote:

    itemSwitchTab.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){
       public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e){
           if (itemSwitchTab.getText().equals("Switch to tab #2")){
               canvasPanel1.remove(canvas);
               canvasPanel2.add(canvas, BorderLayout.CENTER);
               currentPanel = canvasPanel2;
               itemSwitchTab.setText("Switch to tab #1");
           }else if (itemSwitchTab.getText().equals("Switch to tab #1")){
               canvasPanel2.remove(canvas);
               canvasPanel1.add(canvas, BorderLayout.CENTER);
               currentPanel = canvasPanel1;
               itemSwitchTab.setText("Switch to tab #2");

    });

All we need to remove the canvas from one tab and add to another.
