Sorry in advance for taking your time but I am really blocked !

I am quite a n00b in Python but I try hard to learn and I am trying to get this script running. It's working without the threads but in order to learn and improve my python skills, I wanted to understand what's going wrong with this !

Problems: - The script never end - Its not parsing anything ... the urlopen thing seems not to work correctly

PS: Also, do you think that urllib3 (keep-connexion) can be useful in this case and can you explain me who to implement this.

I must confess I have not reviewed the entirety of the code you posted, but "thread" and "urllib2" together was cause enough for alarm.

Do not try to use urllib2 for anything but single-threaded, synchronous connections! Not because there's anything wrong with urllib2, but simply because this problem has been solved, and the solution is in Twisted, a well-documented and well-used asynchronous networking library for Python.

Hum, I'm gonna put an eye on Twisted ! Thanks ! BUT, the script is working for some countries ... and after not ... ad sometimes yes ... strange ! –  Carto_ Apr 24 '12 at 3:58

EDIT : According for my little researches ... Twisted seems to be too hard for me. My code really can't work ? (and also, urllib3 can be useful here ?) –  Carto_ Apr 24 '12 at 4:04
    
Twisted will certainly be easier than trying to implement threading yourself. I have not tried urllib3, but it sounds from the description I found that it would be an improvement over trying to use urllib2 itself but not as good as a full-service library like Twisted. –  Andrew Gorcester Apr 24 '12 at 4:11

Twisted is an overkill , i use urllib2 in threads and i dont have any problem with urllib2 –  jojo Apr 24 '12 at 10:09

the scripts wont end since the run method contain infinite loop , there is nothing to make them break out of this loop
