I am trying to make my first client/daemon server aplication in java. Since it's my first one, I took an example from a teacher and I modified a little bit. Basically i changed IP/port settings, but I don't get to work. Here are some snippets and the error I am getting(The main error is in the new Socket() so I guess it's realted with IP/port):

tcpClient.java:

Consider substituting netcat for either end while debugging. –  Chris Stratton Apr 30 '12 at 20:13
    
Is the ip of the m/c in which you're running the server part right? Also, the port number? –  srkavin Apr 30 '12 at 20:14
