I'm working on a loadtest app in C++ which is intended to test - among other things - the streaming capabilities of our audio servers. For this client, I'm using websocketpp and followed this example.

I always get a sigsegv in the line

con = endpoint.get_connection(connection_string);

of my Workthread::Work method.

The main app looks something like this in pseudo code

This is WorkThread::work(), i replaced the authetication code with pseudo code...

The output of the connection string is the last thing that works. The "1" is not put out but a sigsegv occurs.

I already tried with a debug build of boost but didn't get further error information. It also doesn't matter whether I simply use "ws://localhost" or the real conection string / uri.

Did anyone experience the same problem or has anyone a clue what I am doing wrong here? Any help is greatly apreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this long post.

Does this problem occur when there is only one client endpoint in existence in the program? i.e. if only one thread is launched in TestmanagerClass::run() does it still crash? –  zaphoyd May 31 '12 at 11:31
    
It doesn't occur any more. It simply was a malicious build of boost. A colleague of mine rebuilt boost on his machine and using his binaries, it all worked out fine. Thank you! –  CPlusPlusNewbie Jun 12 '12 at 7:43
