I am implementing a class where I list languages for a country in a ListView. Right below that I have a ExpandableListView that has Major Languages In the Group Title and all the versions of that language as its children.

Currently the data is populated correctly but the list view is displayed over a divider and the ExpandableListView. I want the user to be able to scroll through all of the items in both lists without having both lists height statically defined. Currently when the ListView has more items in it then display on one screen it only displays the list view and things above it and covers up the ExpandableListView.

If anyone has any suggestions how I can have a continual scroll through ListView and onto my extendableListView I would much appreciate it.

Try defining the ExpandableListView first, aligned at the bottom of the screen and then define the Listview as being above the ExpandableListView.

When I try that the ExpandableListView shows up but the ListView will no longer show. I made sure that the data was still being populated correctly and it is. –  jburkett Jun 15 '12 at 13:38

The only way I see to do it is to split the screen between the two... I don't know of any way to scroll two scrollable items.

If you had two regular listviews I could point you to a solution, but a listview and an expandable listview won't work with that solution.

The best I can come up with is to change the two listview definitions in the xml to contain:

android:layout_height="0dp"
android:layout_weight="1"

That would cause them to splict the screen between them and keep them both on the screen.
