I'm trying to work on a bmp file. For a start i tried to read a header and a data from a bmp file and to write it to a new file:

They are the same size and seems that have the same headers. What can be wrong? Thanks.

Bitmap pixel data has to be 32-bit aligned in rows. Are you sure this isn't the problem? –  TheZ Jun 20 '12 at 22:35
    
@TheZ: The image data consists of three bytes per pixel in b,g,r order. The data is stored in row-first order, row after row, and every row is padded by zeros to a length that is a 4-byte multiple. I'm just writing back what I've read. Is it A problem? –  Sanich Jun 20 '12 at 22:36

Well, then pop open both files in a hex editor and compare. A quick look reveals they are different in length and data after the header. –  TheZ Jun 20 '12 at 22:37

I'm going to guess that you should be opening your files in binary mode.
