I am trying to parse an icalendar file (.ics) using ical4j library, and its working fine with all versions of Android but IceCreamSandwich and JellyBean.

Can someone tell me why its throwing FileNotFound Error only in ICS and JB but not in other versions of android?

Here's my code :

Also, I have noticed that if I use Calendar.load(URL url) it works fine. So it is the saving and loading of file that is going wrong.

Please don't disable StrictMode... it is there for a reason. If you are having problems with StrictMode it is because you implemented something incorrectly and you need to fix it. –  Alex Lockwood Jul 8 '12 at 16:56

But thank you for doing the HTTP request on a separate Thread... you have no idea how many SO users try to do this on the UI thread :P –  Alex Lockwood Jul 8 '12 at 17:02
    
so true :P,, Many of them do Http comm in main thread and then complain about freezing of app.. :P –  Ankit Jul 8 '12 at 17:10

Try removing

c.setDoOutput(true);

(as suggested by this blog post)
