I have problem in design proper mapping in my java application. here is the topic:

i have 3 tables (in PostgreSQL):

country

The problem is: when i run EntityManager JPA adds to the table representative unnecessary columns:

mailingprovince_id (character varying(255))
country (character varying(255))
mailing_country (character varying(255))
province (character varying(255))
mailing_province (character varying(255))

I would avoid that. How? I tried many ways to solve it but without success. I would be grateful for any help.

Do you have a question? You don't have OneToOne associations here, but ManyToOne associations: a country has several provinces, and a provice probably has several representatives. –  JB Nizet Jul 16 '12 at 10:52
    
ok, I've changed it and also turned off hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto in persistence.xml. Now it seems to work...Thank you. –  razor555 Jul 16 '12 at 12:15
