I'm trying to search through a set with an iterator, but when I do, it only finds two of the entire set!, here is my code:

I put an extra line to verify how many elements it contained, the output every time I run the program is 85930. –  hinafu Jul 18 '12 at 16:38

The line

if(min==0) return resp;

...in the loop will terminate the loop early, before the iterator has looped over all elements in the set. So if edit_distance ever returns 0, it will stop the loop (and jump out of the function, returning resp).
