# If the matrix array values added with the consecutive numbers and form a new array MATLAB

For example

``````a = [1 2 5 4 9 6 3 7 4 1 3 7 9]
``````

If the user added a consecutive values `5` and `4` means the output array will be

``````b = [1 2 9 9 6 3 7 4 1 3 7 9]
``````

If the user deleted a value, for e.g `5` has been deleted, then output `b` will be `= [1 2 4 9 6 3 7 4 1 3 7 9]`.

Actually the numbers are in list box of MATLAB guide.If the user adds any numbers the display will be like the output b.If deleting the display will be like the second one..sorry forget the word consecutive.. –  user1532668 Jul 23 '12 at 2:01
You need a lot more information in this question to get any help. HOW does the user "add a consecutive values 5 and 4"? What is on the screen before he adds them? Doe he just type `5` at the command prompt and hit return or is there more to it than that? How does a user delete a value? Type a 5 at the command prompt and then hit backspace? Can you tell if the following interpretation is right: you check your input vector a if two consecutive values add up to a third one (for every i in [1;n-2] with n the length of the vector, check if a(i)+a(i+1)=a(i+2)) and if so replace them with the third value (i.e. replace a(i) and a(i+1) by a(i+2)). –  Aabaz Jul 25 '12 at 13:01
