I have no problem copying database using helper. but since a re format my pc and install the eclipse this day I just can't copy the datbase anymore. maybe the sd card of emulator causing the problem. Here's what the log cat says.

I log cat it says "Caused by: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such table: first: , while compiling: SELECT *from first", did your database contain table "first" –  JaiSoni Jul 23 '12 at 7:24

hey guys plz focus on below line dont forget to put .sqlite extension private static String DB_NAME = "wfbos.sqlite"; this line worked for me yipeeeeeee

You have somehow messed up the onCreate method in your DBHelper. This didn't happen because you always had the database created before. now that you have to do a fresh install on a new device (your case new emulator) if fails because your Create Table queries are probably wrong and the tables aren't created properly.

So check those, i am pretty sure there lies your problem.

Also i think you are missing a whitespace between * and first like:

Have you tried deleting the app from the device and then reinstalling? I am saying the initial install fails and not subsequent overwrites. When you are installing an update rather than installing a new version from scratch the database is already created so there is no need to call the DBHelper#OnCreate method again –  DArkO Jul 23 '12 at 6:44
    
yes I uninstall the app first then re install it. And it works fine in my device. –  User Jul 23 '12 at 6:45
