In my program, I have used an adaptation of an example in the documentation for the JSch package that describes how to copy files from a remote server to the local machine. Though the program appears to work, the files seem to be corrupted in the copying process, and when I try to play them from bash, I get an error that reads "play FAIL formats: can't open input file `79_97_729.wav': WAVE: RIFF header not found".

My copy method is as follows:

Is there some sort of adaptation I can do to control for the fact that the files I am copying are in wav format? Any help would be appreciated!

Are you just copying from one directory to another on the same machine? Or is this transfer across the network? –  Lucas Jul 26 '12 at 20:00
    
@Lucas, it looks to me like this is a transfer across the network. It looks like you are corrupting the files by doing all this crazy stuff. Why not just use something like this –  Mohamed Nuur Jul 26 '12 at 20:05

@MohamedNuur, I just tried using the code you linked to using the code up to channel.connect() from above and then calling copyCompletely(in, out), but when I run the program nothing seems to happen and it does not terminate. –  user1491920 Jul 26 '12 at 20:36

You should be able to slap this unit test in place modifying the location of the source/destination files an your dotSshDir and it should work. It does for me.

@user1491920 I only mention that because i ran into a bug in an old version of wget that had an issue with that where, even though the data was binary, any time it encountered a byte sequence that looked like \n it converted it to \r\n... I figured it out by diffing the expected and actual data in a hex editor. –  Lucas Aug 2 '12 at 0:49
