I parsed data from json to corresponding class data and them want to save it in the ORMLite... Here my classes

public class Categories {
    ArrayList<Category> categories;

     public Categories() {

          return this.categories; 
     }
}

and Levels:

OnCreate method in DatabaseHandler class:

I parse my data from JSON in my Activity that way:

I get Category data successfuly, but I've got exception when want to call queryForId() for Level DAO instance. Got such exception:

So the problem is that 'levels' table can't be creating. Don't understand why if I use equal mechanism as for Category table..


After some analysis I understand that problem is in this method

So the onCreate() method is called when you application runs for the first time. If you add the levels table at a later date (or you modify its schema) then you need to increment the database version so that onUpgrade() can be called.

You can see a typical helper pattern from the Android examples from the ORMLite homepage. Here's the source code for the helper. Something like the following is necessary in your helper.

// any time you make changes to your database objects, you may have to increase
// the database version
private static final int DATABASE_VERSION = 2;
...

  int oldVersion, int newVersion) {

Problem solved passing context to my DatabaseHandler that extends from OrmLiteSqliteOpenHelper.
