Here is my problem. Im trying to read a wavefront obj file from assets and apparently it reads properly but when I try to draw the object on to the glsurfaceview 2 of the 8 triangles don't get draw and i don't know why.

This is the obj file (an octahedron):

I think you should be using GL_TRIANGLES instead of GL_TRIANGLE_FAN based on the input... I'm not sure that's the problem though –  vmpstr Jul 31 '12 at 20:38

I'm not very familiar with java, but when I had that problem in the past, I was passing a smaller number of vertices/indecies than available. My suggestion would be to output those values (in glDrawElements, as well as when inserting vertices, and COORDS_PER_VERTEX), and manually verify that the numbers are correct. Also disable culling if you have it on somewhere... –  vmpstr Aug 1 '12 at 13:30
    
There are to lines on the code where i load the file into the buffers where I log the vertex and the index, reference "Vertex Info #" and "Index Info #", and all its ok, COORDS_PER_VERTEX is a fix int (3). I will try what you suggest too and let you know the output. –  Enriquillo Aug 1 '12 at 14:14
    
One other note is that the format specifies indecies as 1-based, but in your code they are probably 0-based, so you should subtract one when parsing faces –  vmpstr Aug 1 '12 at 18:17
