I would like to compare cells in column A of Sheet1 with cells in column A of Sheet2. When a match is found I would like the corresponding rows in both Sheet1 and Sheet2 to be moved and concatenated on to a new row on Sheet3.

Please could anyone assist me with this?

Oh and I don't think this is possible with the macro editor if it was your intention to do so. It would require straight up VBA. Do you have any knowledge of VBA ? –  Alexandre P. Levasseur Aug 2 '12 at 10:32
    
Unfortunately I have no knowledge of VBA or macros. Essentially I need to merge two matching rows together. –  user1571081 Aug 2 '12 at 11:19

You can use vlookup for this. Just copy one sheet2 to create sheet3. Use vlookup to pull in values from the sheet1, then sort to remove unmatched rows. If you don't know any VBA then this will work fine. –  Tim Williams Aug 2 '12 at 15:07
