How do I enable multi select capability on a column in a excel sheet (i.e. we would like to allow only certain values in a column)

e.g. Flowers column header might contain the following values Rose, Jasmine, Lotus, Lily and the user can select Rose and Lotus or Rose, Jasmine and Lily - while they are trying to populate the column below the header.

As discussed in the comments, here is some kind of tips:

Dropdown (single select)

In Excel, you can use the Data Validation system to simulate drop-down lists, you can see some explanations on these links:

Multi-select

You may have to use VBA to simulate real multi-selects, something like this trick

Checkboxes

Excel also have a built-in solution for designing checkboxes, see this link

Useform
