The program is for Linked List using Template.

The same program runs fine on windows 7 dev C++ compiler while on linux g++ compiler it is giving following errors.

 pllab52.cpp:82:5: error: ‘l1’ was not declared in this scope

Both C++ program behaving differently. Is it because of both having different compiler or what? Please also tell the solution to solve this problem. Please explain when these kind of problems normally occurs. I tested other programs too but not faced such problem. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

I changed link to link1 in every place in my program.Now I am getting a new error which is given below.

First, I'd recommend include <stdlib.h> I needed it to get warnings with malloc to go away. Also, a friendly reminder to indent your code for readability, that will help all of us read through and understand it. – MartyE Aug 20 '12 at 5:49

link(2) is a Linux system call that creates a hardlink to a file. Either rename your type or put it in a namespace.

@PallaviKashyap: link() is a function from unistd.h. Your class link is aliasing the symbol and that is not allowed. Either do not include unistd.h (if you do not actually need it) or move your declarations (with the exception of main()) into your own namespace. – wilx Aug 20 '12 at 5:44

@PallaviKashyap I would first suggest the namespace, and also following Google's style-guide, use Link instead of link. Starting all other words after the first word concatenated in your variable names will help with readability (called CamelBackNotation). – MartyE Aug 20 '12 at 5:53
