I want to populate data in expandableListView from database. Actually all I need to do is to retrieve all data from a single my single table, as the first column will be groupName and rest four column will be child, but here i got stuck... Here is the piece of code that I am trying with.

Instead of a list to store your data, pull it straight out of the cursor

  Cursor cursor = pContext.getContentResolver().query(DEFAULT_URI, null, null, null, null);

then some examples....

@Override
public int getCount() {
    return cursor.getCount();
}

@Override
public Object getGroup(int position) {
    cursor.moveToPosition(position);
    String column1 = cursor.getString(COLUMN_1);
    String column2 = cursor.getString(COLUMN_2);
    GroupObject group = new Group(column1, column2);
    return group;
}
