When I am running the devicequey from CUDA SDK I'm getting segmentation fault error:

how ever other examples works fine. even devicequeryDrv compile correctly.

I also get Floating point exception with smokeParticle example

I don't know what is going on but when I use the last version of cula I'm getting the same version of cuda runtime and driver , but when I downgrade to older version like r12 ,it automatically downgrade my cuda runtime version and cause getting the error. I tested it three times (upgrading ,downgrading). I don't know it is possible /

Please check if your driver is the updated/correct one - http://developer.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-downloads...you could find the correct driver by providing your GPU info on this page - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

I dont know what was the problem exactly. I upgraded to cula R15 adn then everything works fine –  Moj Sep 10 '12 at 15:10

CUDA Driver Version / Runtime Version 4.2 / 4.0

Looks like you have a different version for the CUDA Driver and Runtime. Do you get the seqfault when both are the same? Try re-installing 4.2 and making sure all your tools point to the correct toolkit version.

I reinstall the cudatoolikit 4.2 again but again I m getting the same result>and still CUDA Driver Version / Runtime Version 4.2 / 4.0 –  Moj Sep 10 '12 at 9:03
