I am tasked to write this program using python code, where by, say, if the size is 3, it will display a 3 patterns like this:
pattern 1 x.x .x. x.x pattern 2 xx. ..x xx. pattern 3 .xx x.. .xx
that means x will shift towards the right side by 1 position for every level over each row. and if the size is 4, it will be a 4X4 board with 4 patterns;
pattern 1 x..x .xx. .xx. x..x pattern 2 xx.. ..xx ..xx xx.. pattern 3 .xx. x..x x..x .xx. pattern 4 ..xx xx.. xx.. ..xx
So in summary, for board of size N, there will be a board of N*N and N patterns..
I am totally lost as to where to start, and I am not expecting nor wanting an answer here, I just need someone to shed some light on this so at least I can work on something... I was told that this can be done via looping.
So...yea.. need help on this, once again I emphasize please do not give me the programming answer, I need a guidance point that's all.
ok this is what i did to simulate the first line of size 5.. i think its not close to the solution at all but please take a look
