I have read many forums about this common issue but not able to solve it in my application. In my android app I need to show a popup window in which there is a form having edit text and save button. When user clicks on save button the popup window should refreshed. I have tried the dismiss method but :-(

Use this instead AlertDialog.Builder class instead of the stock Android class.

Hi, I have copied the above code and created one java file in my project. But it is showing compilation error for getContext() method. It is not able to find it. –  Sanket Shah Sep 25 '12 at 16:25

I am creating the popupwindow. Oops.. I am having API 10 as I am suing SDK 2.3.3 :-( –  Sanket Shah Sep 25 '12 at 18:19
    
This will work for any Android version. It works for me on Android 2.3 and lower. Post a snippet how you create your dialog and the stacktrace you get. –  Leandros Sep 25 '12 at 18:30
