I want to do SpMV under cusparse of cuda 5.0,the format of matrix is BCSR(Blocked Compressed Sparse Row),but I got error on the command between 156 and 160,for the value of nnzb is not correct. the partial code is below:

I know nothing about CUSPARSE but asked someone who does. He suggests: Check the error code returned by cusparseXcsr2bsrNnz. If the returned error code is fine, then check if "nnzTotalDevHostPtrC == (bsrRowPtrC[mb] – bsrRowPtrC[0])". If the equality holds, the CSR format is incorrect, or there is a bug in CUSPARSE. –  njuffa Oct 19 '12 at 19:02
    
the error code:if blocksize==1,the error code is CUSPARSE_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR, and if the blocksize==2,the error code is CUSPARSE_STATUS_EXECUTION_FAILED. DeviceQuery's result is Device 0: "GeForce GTX 285" CUDA Driver Version / Runtime Version 5.0 / 5.0 –  taoyuanjl Oct 20 '12 at 2:02
    
Thanks. I will run that information by the CUSPARSE folks to see what, if anything, one can deduce from those error codes. I notice you are running CUDA 5.0. Are you able to execute other CUDA programs successfully? I am asking because I am wondering whether there might be a mismatch with the installed driver that prevents CUSPARSE from initializing. What is the version of the installed driver (/proc/driver/nvidia/version)? –  njuffa Oct 20 '12 at 4:13
    
The details of /proc/driver/nvidia/version are {NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 304.33 Sun Aug 5 17:41:05 PDT 2012 2 ,GCC version: gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-52)}.I execute DeviceQuery,it PASSED; the upper result of the second comment is the return value of queryDevice. and I can execute another SpMV of cusparse named cusparseScsrmv() correctly, which is format in CSR,because I compared the result on GPU with the one on cpu –  taoyuanjl Oct 20 '12 at 8:12
    
The CUSPARSE_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR indicates the failure of an internal cudaMemcpy, which could be due to a size mismatch between allocation and copy or CUDA runtime failure. The likely cause would be an allocation that is either of the wrong size or that fails at runtime. Please check the arguments passed to cudaMalloc() calls in your code, and check the status of every CUDA and CUSPARSE API call. –  njuffa Oct 20 '12 at 20:37
