Could someone please look over my code for the quadratic equation? I always get an error with root2 ("The primitive type double of root1 does not have a field root2). I just need to print out the two roots. Thank you.

You still need to divide by 2a.

Java can't return tuples like that, probably easiest to return an array since they're the same type.

    public static double[] quadratic(int a, int b, int c){
        double discriminant = (b*b)-4*a*c;
        double root1 = -1*b + Math.sqrt(discriminant);
        double root2 = -1*b - Math.sqrt(discriminant);
        double[] array = {root1, root2};
        return array;
    }

It is not possible to return two double values this way. Try to return an array of duble values.

Not sure what youre trying to accomplish, i made a similar program using javascript, and heres the code, its really simple. btw, the quadratic equation is -b±√D/2a , i dont think you put that in completely. heres the code i wrote: Also, i think the problem is in the part where you've gone return:(root1,root2) , make it into an array or just do 2 return commands. I.e return(root1) return(root2) not sure if you cna have 2 returns ins a function, not a java programmer, sorry, but i tried :D
